By the time a patient is prescribed specialty treatment, they may have already spent months or years looking for answers, managing symptoms, trying other therapies, and working with their healthcare team to find the right next step.
Then comes a different kind of barrier: the cost.
Insurance does not always make prescribed treatment affordable. For some patients, out-of-pocket expenses can mean delaying treatment, putting it off altogether, or wondering how they are supposed to absorb another major expense into an already complicated life.
